Continuing A Legacy of Giving
CFADA has been giving to charity since our association was first chartered in 1929. From time, talent, and financial resources— the members of Central Florida Auto Dealers Association (CFADA) continue to freely give back to the communities in which they reside.
American Red Cross
Over the past 6 years, we have supported the mission of the American Red Cross and home fire safety with contributions totaling almost $100,000.
Central Florida Coalition for the Homeless
Like many of our dealers, since 2008 we have supported the Coalition for the Homeless.
Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park
Our veterans defended our freedoms and we do everything we can to protect them. This is the reason we donated to the Veterans Memorial Park.
Crimeline
Since 2000, we have donated several vehicles to Crimeline. These vehicles help keep our streets safe and secure.
Epilepsy Association of Central Florida (EACF)
The AutoClassic Golf Tournament has raised almost $2 million for EACF.
Florida Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) Program
For more than two decades, we have supported the AYES program now known as the Florida ASE Student Career Development Program. Our contributions help high school students prepare for continuing education in a career in the Automotive field. We have the smartest, safest, and most reliable vehicles on the road. To maintain these vehicles, we need our brightest minds trained in their care.
MADD
Since 2002, we have supported MADD’s educational and law enforcement efforts. Together we have contributed to making our streets safer from drunk drivers. We have also recognized the brave law enforcement officers for their efforts.
Medical Eye Bank of Florida
Our support of the Medical Eye Bank of Florida includes vehicles used to promote this worthy cause.
Orlando Fisher house for veterans
We gave a $20,000 contribution to make the Fisher House a reality for our veterans. We thank our veterans for protecting our freedom. They mean the world to us.
Ronald McDonald House
At Florida Hospital and Arnold Palmer Hospital. The mission of the Ronald McDonald house has always been dear to us. That is why we have continued to support them since 2002.
The Salvation Army
Over the past 8 years, we have supported the mission of the Salvation Army to the tune of almost $100,000.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida
Over the past ten years, we have supported the mission of our local food bank that provides food for needy families and offers a training program in the culinary arts.
Seminole State College
For 10 years CFADA fundraised and lobbied for state matching funds to build a new professional Automotive Training Center at Seminole State College. The now 55,000 square-foot, $10.4 million, state-of-the-art training center positively impacts the Central Florida automotive industry and serves as a workforce pipeline for our dealers.
Special Olympics
Since 2010 the Special Olympics has had a special place in our hearts. Everyone deserves a chance to show their athletic abilities.
Toys for Tots
Every year Christmas is a little brighter for hundreds of kids around Florida thanks to our support of Toys for Tots. This is a collaborative effort where our association and every one of its members donate new toys.
United Way
The United Way is a charity we have supported for over a decade by donating time, talent, and money.
Grants and Scholarships
In addition to our other charitable and fundraising efforts, every year the current president of CFADA and the chairman of the Central Florida International Auto Show award an additional $20,000 to charities of their choosing. Our board members also give $5,000 each ($35,000 total) to a charity of their choosing.
In partnership with Seminole State College, we also sponsor partial to full-ride scholarships for students interested in pursuing a career in automotive technology.
“I am catching up, belatedly, on some of the donations to AMF over the last few months and wished to thank you directly… for your significant generosity and support. It is very much appreciated. 100% of your $10,000 donation will buy 5,000 long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) and protect an estimated 9,000 people when they sleep at night from the bites of malaria-carrying mosquitoes. That’s 18 entire villages covered thanks to you. Brilliant. We allocate each donation to a specific net distribution and you can follow where the nets you have funded will be distributed via your personal donations page.”
